It may have been chilly and grey outside last Saturday, September 22, but it was a warm, bustling atmosphere that prevailed inside Pointe Claire Plaza. And Cedar Park United was present right in the midst of it! Thanks to the excellent planning and early rising (they were already setting up Cedar Park’s table at 7 a.m.!) of Shelagh Webster and Catherine Fyfe, Cedar Park United was able to take part in Pointe Claire Community Day and really make a splash.
From 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., multiple Cedar Parkers manned (and womanned!) the table, chatting with passers-by, sharing lolly pops with the kids (that was a big hit!) and answering people’s questions. Our informational pamphlets and postcards, together with a video presentation of the church’s activities, provided a fun, dynamic and inviting impression of all that Cedar Park has to offer the greater community.
Many thanks to all those who helped in the planning, preparation, decoration and implementation of this great project. Thoughts are already heading towards next year’s Community Day–won’t you join us?
