Our Lenten journey continued through Holy Week and ended in the celebration of Easter at Cedar Park on April 5.

For those who were up early on Easter Sunday,  there was a (freezing and snowy!) ecumenical worship time at Windmill Point, hosted by the Parish Church of St Joachim in Pointe Claire.

On Good Friday, April 3, a quiet morning worship service focused on the events of that day and the crucifixion of Jesus.

On Palm Sunday, March 29, an all ages passion pageant ” We Were There” took place during the morning worship service, providing  a compressed exploration of the events leading up to Easter, from the palm waving triumphal entry into Jerusalem, through to the last supper to betrayal, trial and crucifixion. Written by our own Rev. Elisabeth Jones, the pageant was acted out by adults and children from the Cedar Park congregation and included an original song written and performed by singer-songwriter Pat Mayberry.
