It was an unforgettable morning at Cedar Park this Easter, March 31.
It started at 7 am with the sunrise service on the banks of Lac St. Louis, where our very own Rev. Elizabeth delivered the message.Â
Then it was on to our own church building where some 200 people filled the sanctuary with gorgeous song, movement, laughter and a fantastic Easter message. Together, we filled the empty cross with the new life of fresh daffodils.
The children–there were more than 30–looked for hallelujahs hidden in plastic eggs throughout the sanctuary before heading off to a large-group activity in the church hall. With soil and stones and potatoes and sticks and flowers, they each created an Easter garden. As the congregation prepared to celebrate communion together, the children brought their gardens back into the sanctuary for all to enjoy.
What a wonderful day! Thanks to all who made it such a meaningful experience. He is risen! He is risen indeed!
