Are you called to become a vital part of our ministry leadership team?

To further support our growing ministry to and by families and youth, we are looking for a dynamic, organised Family and Youth Ministries Coordinator.

Cedar Park United is a progressive, welcoming Christian community that is open to all ages, races, denominations and sexual orientations. Together, we explore questions of faith and spirituality in and beyond the Christian tradition, and we are spurred on by our life and faith together to act on our shared concerns for social justice and caring for the earth.

The responsibilities include: Coordinating the Sunday children’s program; working with the Lead Minister (Rev. Elisabeth Jones) to coordinate the participation of children and youth in various expressions of worship; coordinating and supporting ministry programming for families with children and youth, with an emphasis on developing our community’s gifts for ministry.

The skills and knowledge required include: A lively, open, active faith and a willingness to share faith with children, families and youth; creativity, imagination and enjoyment of work with children, families and youth; demonstrated ability to work as part of a ministry team; ability to work independently within the parameters of the congregation’s Identity and Values and its ministry goals.

Hours and remuneration: This annually reviewed contract position will be for around 10 hours per week, from mid-August to the following June and will be remunerated based on the Congregationally Designated Minister pay scale.

Elisabeth Jones.  Prior to her call to Cedar Park United, Rev. Elisabeth, who is a gifted educator, was the Director of Studies at United Theological College, developing leaders for the Church.
