Modern Line Dancing
All over the world people are line dancing; It has become particularly popular with the senior dance crowd, because it’s not only a fun way to get some physical activity in your life, but it’s simply good for your general health and happiness; Its benefits include a memory workout for the brain!
Over the years, line dancing has evolved. What you’ll find at Cedar Park United are classes in “Modern Line Dancing” by Susan Page Knight, an extremely qualified and trained dancer, and a gifted instructor. Modern Line Dancing is taught internationally, and what is so appealing to Susan about “Modern” is that it incorporates so many styles of dance music choreographed by top choreographers from around the world.
Susan’s classes are designed with seniors in mind. She presently teaches two levels: “beginner” and “ultra beginner”. Her teaching style is clear and her method structured allowing her students to acquire a solid basic repertoire of dance steps. The dances she teaches are the current dances taught in the international line dance circuit. Susan regularly attends dance events in other cities keeping up-to-date with the latest.
About our instructor
As a dancer, Susan’s background is in ballet, jazz ballet and contemporary dance having studied at Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and having worked with the Toronto Dance Theatre and PointePienu.
