July at Cedar Park is “Sabbath Time.” It’s a time when we purposefully stop what we are doing as a community in order to take time to rest, reflect, renew and recreate. Our building is closed for cleaning and renovation, our programming stops—including Sunday worship—and we take the time to cultivate curiosity, encourage an openness to wonder, and to nurture our creativity.
This “Sabbath time” is a counter-cultural thing; it has its roots in the Biblical story of creation (Genesis 1), when God, having created for six days, stopped on the seventh day, to look in wonder and contemplation on all this creative work, and to notice its inherent beauty and goodness.
The Ministry Staff Team will be taking vacation at various times during this Sabbath month, so if you email them, please understand if there is a delay in response.
Worship will resume at Cedar Park on Sunday, August 5 at 10AM.
