LIFE AND WORK OF THE CHURCH

“LIVING THE WELCOME” WORKSHOP

Saturday, March 3 from 9 to noon

Led by Elaine Beattie in the Church Hall.

“I was a stranger and you welcomed me” Matthew 25:35. Angels may arrive at our door; they arrive unannounced, they bring change to our lives. Let’s look at ways we can
welcome the angels who walk though our doors and look at ways we can nurture a more welcoming environment increasing our own quality of life and alertness for the appearance of the God who surprises us.

Who should be there ? All of those who are on the “Front Lines” of welcoming in our church – and that means everyone ! We all share the responsibility of welcoming the stranger. Who is sitting in the pew next to you, in front of you, behind you? Are they new? Are they hurting? Are they lonely? Do they have questions? Are they seeking a hand stretched out in love? We all have a part to play in opening up our church to make it a more inviting place to be. There’s a Sign Up sheet on the Activity Board. Please plan to attend.

CREATING A BEHAVIOURAL COVENANT Wednesday March 7 from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.in the Church Hall. All those who attended the workshop in October are
invited back to review and "fine tune" our document. Anyone else who is interested in this work is welcome to attend.
