Martha Randy joined Cedar Park United’s staff team as Family and Youth Ministries Coordinator (FYMC) in August 2015. A graduate of the University of Rochester (NY) with degrees in French and Spanish, she spent several years as an editor and language instructor in Cologne (Germany). Before moving to Montreal in 2009 with her husband, Vincent, and three children, she was the Sunday School Coordinator at the American Church in Paris (France).

Within the growing, dynamic Cedar Park community, Martha is on a constant quest to find each person’s sweet spot: that unique thing they love to do that can also be of service. She’s witnessed countless sweet spots emerge, and watched with delight as children, youth and adults have grown into their own special roles.

One of our FYMC’s sweet spots is working with Rev. Elisabeth to develop holistic Sunday worship experiences that connect children, youth and adults with God, each other and the world in creative, compelling ways (did someone say battery-lit tea lights?).

Martha is also utterly convinced that every time we together as a community–at the table at F4, a Friday Evening in Community, around a play mat at Mini Connections, over a cup of coffee after Sunday worship–we open ourselves up to the most amazing of holy moments.

To get the word out, Martha publishes a monthly e-newsletter called LinX which details opportunities in and through Cedar Park United. You’re welcome to subscribe. You can also sign up to receive her weekly e-mail with details about the upcoming Sunday’s worship experience.
