Sunday worship for children and youth

At Cedar Park United, we provide opportunities for children and youth to connect with God, connect with one another and connect with the world.

We appreciate the effort and intentionality required to get a family out the door  on a Sunday morning!

We hope you’ll feel at home when you come to Cedar Park for worship. A comfortable nursery at the back of the sanctuary is available to welcome parents with babies and toddlers (the service is piped in through speakers). Welcome bags (with colouring materials, “fidgets” and picture books, etc.) are available at the “Welcome Tree” for busy little hands in the pews.

Children ages 3 to 6th grade typically leave the adult worship space partway through the service, heading to the Community Hall to continue exploring and discovering together in KidZone. Several times each year, we stay together in the Sanctuary for an interactive all-ages worship experience.

High school students (we call them NeXters!) have a variety of options during Sunday worship. Sometimes they get to actively participate in the service, and sometimes they have a “sermon chat-back” time with adult Cedar Parkers.

Our worship experience typically runs 75 minutes (10-11:15). Everyone is invited to stay for Connection Time in the Community Hall afterwards for drinks, conversation–and maybe even a game of chess or Connect Four (we have a selection of board games available for anyone to use).

If you’d like to receive the weekly update about what’s happening during worship the upcoming Sunday, send an e-mail to Martha Randy. our Family and Youth Ministries Coordinator.
