Orange Shirt Day at-home activities
September 30 is Orange Shirt Day, and has recently been designated in Canada as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Here are some activities you and your family may wish to do at home:
Read the 94 Recommendations from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
Check out children's or adult books written by Indigenous writers, at your local library.
Watch events hosted by the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation.
End your day if you are able by joining in this nationwide candlelight vigil with other UCC folk, led by Indigenous Ministries and Justice Executive Minister Rev. Murray Pruden, at 7 PM Eastern on the Indigenous Ministries Facebook page
