This fifth week in Lent is uncompromising in its gaze upon human mortality. The readings go to great lengths to make us witness physical death, not to horrify or depress, but in order that we might see that even death is no barrier to the Loving Life of God. Over death, as over chaos, God still breathes a re-creating Word of Life.

Families with children are invited to the Family Pray Space at the back of the sanctuary where there are quiet activities, chairs, floor cushions and a rocking chair. Children’s Worship for children of all ages will happen partway through the service.
