Today we mark the “paradoxical feast” called “Christ the King” or “Reign of Christ Sunday.” More than ever, we need to “feel” this contradiction, that one who was executed by the most powerful earthly regime of his time, is somehow “king” of the way we live as his disciples. A Way of compassionate love and mercy, peace-making, and hope.
Our worship begins at 9:55 AM (ET) onsite and online. To make sure you can participate in the worship chat space, please take a moment beforehand to 1) subscribe to the CPU YouTube Channel and 2) comment on at least one of our previous videos. Our Worship Welcomer looks forward to greeting you!
Families with children are invited to the Family Pray Space, a sensory-friendly activity space for parents and kids of all kinds. Children’s Worship for children of all ages begins partway through the service—it’s an experience of the holy that happens outdoors (weather permitting) or in the Community Hall.
You’re warmly invited to stay after worship for coffee and conversation in community in the Sanctuary.
